Meet the Artist: Stefan Thompson

"Since studying environmental science at Carleton University I have become increasingly aware of our impact on the environment. Realizing that as a painter I was still a part of the ecological problem was very difficult. After much experimentation and research I finally phased out the use of all toxic paints by May of 2007, though I still have much to learn. I cannot truly feel at peace if by creating my art I am also harming the environment."

I made a wondeful trip to Barcelona!

There, me and a friend (luis Olivares) steppted by chanse in to a fantastic exhibition.

"POST IT SHOW BARCELONA" -at- Atticus Gallery

Were we saw the fine work of 70 artist

to stand in front of these wall was fasinating and overwhelming.

Tons of good work, many diferent styles all together in a huge mosaic composition

made by Post it notes. Brilliant idea!
